Shooting in RAW and Other Week Events

This has been quite a week and it's only Tuesday! I mailed off my Hall of Fame entry on Friday and it was received in Utah yesterday afternoon! I wish I could show you all my digital pages, but the judges get to see first. Calls to the 25 winners will be around March 3rd. We'll see what happens! Yesterday, I booked a flight to Dallas to spend the weekend with Clint and his family!!! I'm so excited. It was very last minute, but I'm glad it's going to work out. I also got a e-mail from Creating Keepsakes for an assignment for the June issue (which I have to finish by Monday)! So fun! I saw the product I have to use and I knew I wanted to use some photos of Mercy and her pretty green eyes. In class on Monday, our teacher walked us through how to edit RAW photos. So I decided to try shooting Mercy's photos in RAW. It's so neat! I can't believe I haven't tried it before. Here's one of the photos I took of Mercy and then the same photo with a little RAW and Photoshop editing. I hope you have a great rest of the week. I'll post some pictures of Dallas when I get back. I'm looking forward to seeing something other than piles of snow!

A Digital Scrapbook Page

I just wanted to share a digital scrapbook page that I did for my friend, April. She owns Digital Scrapbook Memories and she will have new kits to sell at CHA. This is a page I put together for her. I thought this picture of Clint and I would be perfect!

"Love Is..." In February Creating Keepsakes

I almost forgot to share my latest published scrapbook page. This was one of my favorite pages that I did for Hall of Fame last year. Even though I didn't get "a call," I'm still glad one of the pages got published. I've been working on this year's Hall of Fame entry off and on for the past two weeks. And the cool thing is that I'm doing it all digital this year! No paper, it's all about the power of Photoshop. I'm not anticipating anything. I'm mostly enjoying creating some cool works of art for myself. So if I'm not one of those special 25 who get "the call," I'll have to share my pages with you. Here's my page in the 2007 February Creating Keepsakes!
Well, since I'm already on the topic of Hall of Fame, I found these photos of my entry last year...and a photo of me looking totally exhausted at about 6:30am after pulling a "I have to get my Hall of Fame entry ready to mail tomorrow" all nighter! I loved all of my pages individually, but as a whole, I think my entry really stunk! I still enjoyed it though! Hopefully this year will be different! Click on any of the photos to see larger.

The Season Is Over

The Christmas season finally ending for my family this morning. Due to two major blizzards less than a week apart that shut down all of Denver delaying Christmas for almost everyone, we finally got our last Christmas package from FedEx. But in the next couple hours, it will be snowing yet again! No more please! We had our really white Christmas, that is enough! I'm ready for some 80 degree weather. Anyway I thought I'd share some of the presents I made this Christmas! Enjoy!
