The Phantom of the Opera

After my long post, I figured I should update you with some photos! These photos are from the beginning of December when Hannah, Brendon and I got to go see The Phantom of the Opera downtown for Hannah's 20th birthday! We had such an awesome time! It was so fun to get dressed up and go somewhere. It was a little difficult to get my very short hair in an up-do, but I was able to make use of my old prom dress. Before the play, we went to eat at Vesta Dipping Grill. The food and atmosphere was AWESOME, and if you're ever up this way, you have to try it. With every entree or dessert, you can pick three sauces to dip your food into. Yum! So fun! It was so fun to see The Phantom of the Opera since it's one of Hannah and I's favorite movies. We had great seats, only about 8 or 10 rows back on stage left. The acting was great and the whole stage presentation was amazing! It was an awesome experience I won't soon forget and I hope we can do something similar soon!

No Longer MIA!

Oh my gosh! January was the craziest month! I have been running around working, teaching classes, going to school, doing projects and finishing up my Hall of Fame entry. I'm so sorry if it took me awhile to e-mail or call anyone back. I was rarely home and when I was I was working on something or sleeping!

I have been working on ten new scrapbook pages to submit to Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame 2006 contest since the first of January. I had so many difficulties and time constraints come up (at the last minute), but I was determined to enter! And thanks to God, I was able! I finally finished and today I can send my entry on its way to Utah to be judged. I really love all the layouts I entered and I feel confident about my entry. Winning an honorable mention in the contest last year was such a shock and honor. So I really have high hopes for this year, but who enters that doesn't? I just hate that I can't share my layouts with anyone for a couple months!

I started school on the 8th and we jumped right into several huge projects. Can I just say that the right side of my brain is on overload? OMG. It's constantly thinking and coming up with ideas for new projects or pages. Today, after I mail my entry, I'm just going to go home and veg! Clean up, nap and maybe watch a movie....until tomorrow where I get my brain working hard again. All of my projects this class have really turned out nice and I can't wait to share them with you! Another great thing I want to share is that my teacher asked me to be one of the few students to represent our school and design a poster. The poster is going to be for AIGA's (American institute of Graphic Artists) The Review 2006, where graphic students can display their portfolio for potential employer's from all the over the state. So that's my next project to work on that I must have finished by next Friday. I'll post it when I'm finished.

Work has been crazy but fun at the same time. I've been working over 30 hours and teaching at least two Valentine's classes in a week. I also worked at one of our other stores in the area and helped them out for a few days this past month. One of my highlights is that my manager picked myself and another lady from our store to meet with the owner of our company and discuss our customers and company. That was really neat and I learned a lot! My manager has also asked if I would be willing to learn how to receive at our store. It's a big responsibility and I feel really honored that she asked me to help.

So that's what been going on in my life the past month! Very busy, but lots of blessings!
