Leave Me a Message

Hey blog lurkers!! I was just wanting to see who all out there has been surfing my blog lately. I know Clint visits regularly, but he's not the only one keeping my stat counter busy. Leave me a message and let me know how you're doing. You can post a comment without registering under Anonymous, but make sure you leave your name so I can say hi back!!

Two Incredible Bands=One Awesome Night

Well, Clint has been bothering me for days to post the photos that I took in Alpine a week and a half ago. I was really disappointed because the lighting in the building was very poor, so the majority of my photos did not turn out that great. But here's some of the ones that were okay. You can click on them if you want to see them larger. Clint played in his two bands: Johnny & the Yahoos and Lifted^. They both did a fabulous job and I loved listening to them play. Our friend, Jermaine also came and gave a wonderful message. It was a great trip and everyone really enjoyed it!

Check out John and his Yahoos on MySpace at: John's MySpace

Check out Lifted's MySpace at: The Lifted^ Band's MySpace

And the whole gang:

And of course, we had to get a photo of Clint and I. Sorry, Chris, but I painted you out of the picture!! ;-)

And I promise I'll get around to posting some of the cruise pictures!! There's so many to go through, but I want to share them with you.

Stampin' Up Convention

Wow! This has been a crazy month for me! I have hardly been home. But I have had so much fun. The last four days I was at the Stampin' Up Convention. I was soooo happy that is was in Denver this year! It made it so convenient for me to go. My upline, Linda and I rode together everyday.

The theme this year was Dream Big. They had wonderful sessions and classes and hundreds of ideas! Here is one side of the many rows of card ideas.

On the first night, they had a Pajama Party and Linda and I made all of our great make-n-takes.

I also got to talk to and meet the amazing Shelli Gardner who is the Cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up! She was so sweet.

Linda and I had a very fun (and exhausting) four days and now I have lots of awesome new ideas to share with you! I can't wait to pull out my stamps and start creating some new projects!

Don't forget, I am having and Stampin' Up Garage Sale with Linda this coming Saturday, August 4th. We will be selling a bunch of our retired stamp sets at 50% off!! And of course, I bought some of the awesome new product for you to check out!

I am also having a Make a Wish birthday card class on Saturday, August 18th. I have some fun cards planned. Come this Saturday and you can check out the samples ahead of time. Contact me if you are interested!

Wedding Journal: July 14, 2007

Wooohooo! So Clint and I have been officially engaged for one month. Wow, the month really flew by. And there's lots of wedding planning to still be done.

I have some very exciting news though!!! Yesterday, Friday the 13th, I bought my wedding dress! I love it. It is so gorgeous. Perfect for the type of wedding we are having. My mom, bridesmaid Hannah and friend Ariana came with me to make my final selection. Hannah took some fun pictures, but you'll have to wait until January to see! Hannah also tried on some bridesmaid dresses so we could see what we liked. Here are two of the styles we liked the most, but I am thinking I want to do something in a different fabric that will go better this the dress I got.

My mom and I are heading down to Texas next week to do the majority of the wedding planning. I have to finalize details with my venues, interview a pick a florist and locate a good baker. My Maid of Honor, Kim has really been helping me narrow down the options. I've put together a little wedding planning book that has pictures of the flowers, dresses, cakes, etc. that I like so I can show the vendors when I met with them. It's all slowly starting to come together.

I am currently working on printing the Save the Dates and I plan to have those in the mail early next week. I'll post a picture of them on my blog once everyone has received them!

I also finished up Clint and I's wedding website! It's not anything fancy, but if you have a chance, feel free to take a look. I am also adding it to my sidebar so you can go back and view it at anytime. Click below to view:

I have lots of pictures from the Caribbean that I want to share with you, but it will have to wait for another day. More wedding details to come soon.

Wedding Journal: June 24, 2007

So, a really good friend of mine whose name happens to be Hannah who happens to be own of my totally awesome bridesmaids, told me that I should keep a journal of my wedding planning. So here is my first wedding planning journal entry.

So Clint and I have been engaged for over a week and I have so much going on in my little brain. Clint and I went a started our registry at Target while he was here. Just FYI, if you're doing to be doing a little early bridal shower or wedding shopping! ;-) Clint and I picked out our dinnerware, flatware and small appliances. My favorite item on my registry so far is this Global Home tablerunner and the matching placemats! I love them!

Mom and I went back today and added towels, bedding, pillows and some other things I needed help picking out.

Friday was my first time to ever put on a bridal gown!! So fun. Mom and I went to Priscilla of Boston in Cherry Creek. They were having a sample dress sale, so we went to check it out. I only tried on two sample dresses and several regular priced dresses ranging all the way up to $5,000! My mom and I both loved a Melissa Sweet dress that was about $3,000. Gorgeous. And once she placed on a veil with beautiful gold edging, we fell in love with the whole ensemble. But since I am more of a white and silver person, we decided to keep looking. My favorite ending up one of lest expensive in the store. Very simple and contemporary, but it could be dressed up with some fun accents.

Today, we ran into David's Bridal so my mom could see what they had. We didn't find anything that was thrilling. We went from looking at the most expensive dresses in the most ritzy part of Denver to the Wal-Mart of wedding dresses near the ghetto of Denver. I think we are going to keep looking and find a compromise between the two. I know that God has something totally gorgeous that I will love still out there!

I've also been thinking a lot about Save the Dates and the whole overall feel of the invites and other material. Being a graphic designer, I have to have everything coordinate beautifully. So before I design the Save the Dates I need to get an idea of what I'm doing for everything. I'm thinking frosty white (since it's a winter wedding) with silver, black and red. Very evening/night wedding and festive since it will be right after the holidays. I have really be loving the wedding collateral designs by this graphic designer. I think her designs are so classy. Her studio is called Good On Paper and these are some of the designs I like.

Okay, I have lots of other things to be doing. I have to finish Clint and I's wedding website so it's up when I sent out the Save the Dates. More to come later!
