Spring is Definitely Not In The Air!

Not here in Colorado anyway! I'm home from school today because of all the snow! Ugh! Out here in the country, we've gotten about 8 inches and it's still coming. I'm really missing the Texas springs where everything starts greening up in early March. I'm so ready to put down my convertible top and run around town in shorts and flip-flops.

Clint and I had a great time while he was here! I had an awful sinus cold while he has here, so we weren't able to go skiing like we wanted. But we did go on some great dates! Out of all the times he's come up to visit, this was the first time it snowed while he was here. But, not like it's snowing now!

Yesterday afternoon, I set up a mini photo shoot and took some photos of my siblings. These are my favorite three of Mercy and Melissa. I just love the catch lights in their eyes. I'm still trying to play around with my 50mm lens I got for Christmas. So far, I'm really loving it!

Please leave a comment or send me an e-mail! I haven't heard from anyone in quite a while. I hope you're doing well!

Love Is...

PATIENT! Wow! Tell me about it! I read 1 Cor. 13 this morning. It's definitely one of my favorite chapters in the Bible and one that I've had to go back and reread to remind myself of the qualities of love. I'm so excited today because my boyfriend, Clint is flying to Denver to see me today! If you didn't know, Clint and I live almost 700 miles and two states away from each other. We only get to see each other every couple of months. Clint starts his spring break today and I'm so excited that he'll be spending the entire time with me! We have some really fun things planned - going to the Country Dinner Playhouse to see Beauty and the Beast with my parents, going out on a nice date to Maggiano's, going to the outlet mall, shopping (of course!), taking a train ride up into the mountains and hopefully skiing! I can't wait.

It's been so long since I posted, I have to tell you what Clint did for me for Valentine's Day! I sent him a homemade card and a gift card to Maggiano's for our belated Valentine's/my early birthday dinner. He totally threw me off guard and sent me a vase of red roses (my favorite) and a huge double decker box of chocolates to my school while I was in class! I was so shocked. All the ladies on staff at my school were watching through the glass window as I received my gifts. My teacher exclaimed, "Kayla, you didn't need to get me anything for Valentine's Day!" :-D I was surprised again when I got to work and my Assistant Manager handed me a $20 gift card that Clint had bought for me over the phone. It was so, so sweet and exactly what I wanted for Valentine's Day! I love him soooo very much. We'll take pictures while he's here and I'll try to post some in the next week or two!!
